Cut It Out. Please and Thank You.

Do me a favor.

Stop letting fear run the show.

You live in a world where there are literally an infinite number of possible outcomes and you are only focusing on two: your earth shattering worst case scenario and your elusive best case scenario. You stress yourself out to no end with the first one and you use the second one as a reminder that you’re not worthy.

I’ll repeat what I just wrote so that you can read it again: you live in a world where there are literally an infinite number of possible outcomes. Not one or two outcomes. Infinite number. To hammer home my point, I looked up the definition of infinite for you:

limitless or endless in space, extent, or size; impossible to measure or calculate

Your failure is one possible outcome AND it is NOT the ONLY outcome.

Your perception of life is limited to your five senses -- what you can see, hear, touch, taste, and smell. There’s also talk of five additional senses that perceive pain, balance, sense of time, temperature, direction, and the relative position of your body parts. That’s a lot of data that you can use to analyze and interpret your surroundings.

I love brain puzzles such as this one. They show me that things are not always what they seem and that I actually miss out on a lot because I’m mentally all over the place.

When you anchor yourself to one or two outcomes, you are forgetting that you are experiencing a very small, tiny, minute, minuscule, little, teeny fraction of what’s actually going on. At any given moment, there are approximately two million bits of info and you generally only perceive 126 bits. In other words, you pick up 0.0063% of what’s going on around you.

Honey Bunny, you are missing out.

It’s true: you’ve been gifted with an incredible system that helps you navigate life. However, even this fantastic system pales in comparison to the power of the Universe.

Might I remind you that you, my dear, are a child of God?

When you’re a child of God, you have nothing to fear. You are backed by the creator of the entire Universe. Your name is written on God’s heart and every single angel in heaven knows your name.

Are you really letting your fear of what could happen overshadow and downplay who you are to God and who God is in this world?

Nah, boo.

It’s time to cut that out. God wants you to know that it’s time to focus on what’s tugging at your heart strings and bring that vision to life.

You were not born to push papers for the rest of your life, sit in pointless meetings, be frustrated by the antics of your silly team, or live check to check.

Nope. Nope. Nope.

Let me ask you a question: when was the last time you admired the sky? Like legit stopped what you were doing and admired the work of art that God has placed in front of you every single day. Even the ugliest storm is a wonder to look at.

Yet you hardly stop to look at it. You rush from place to place, scroll thru your phone, complain about the direction the CEO is taking your company in, and are either somewhere far in the past or far ahead in the future.

You run yourself ragged and work yourself into a frenzy preparing for and worrying about stuff that, more than likely, won’t happen or, if it does, is totally survivable. This is not what God had in mind for you as he knit you together in your mother’s womb.

The time has come for you to sit in the driver’s seat of your mind and follow the coordinates that God has placed in your heart only. It’s time to pay more attention to what your gut tells you than anyone or anything else in your life.

You are too important and too powerful to let fear hold you back. You weren’t born to hold back. You were born to show up and give life your very best. You were born to be the only YOU the world will ever know, not some knock-off, watered down version of someone else.

Nah, boo.

We want the real you. Give us the real you.

So again I ask you to do me a favor.

Please stop robbing the world of your genius because you’re scared. Or worried. Or whatever it is that makes you hesitate, doubt yourself and put your dreams on the back burner.

It’s time to show up and own it.

Now it's your turn. Comment below and tell me one action that you will take today to move you thru your fear and into the life of your dreams.

I’m cheering for you. Like the world is waiting for you to drop the act and just do you.

From the Front Row,
