Recently a friend asked me about what all working with a life coach entailed.
I covered the process of working with a life coach in a previous post . Now I am going to address 5 key benefits of working with a life coach in this post right here --
1) Life coaching help you gain clarity.
Working with a life coach allows you to explore and define what is important to you, what you want to achieve, and where you want to go from here.
You'd be surprised how easy it is to just go with the flow in your life and not be in tune with what you really want. When what you really want and the life you are currently living are out of sync, it can cause serious problems with your health and outlook on life.
A life coach can help you to access parts of you that you aren't aware of or have forgotten about. You get to determine what is important to you, what you want to pursue, and what purpose your life has.
2) Life coaches are fantastic accountability partners.
Once you go on record and tell your life coach what is important to you, he or she will remind you of this, especially in moments where you are frustrated and you want to give up. You won't go at your journey alone.
When you first start off on this journey, you are excited and ready to conquer the world, so to speak. As time passes, you may find yourself getting lazy and/or complacent. Suddenly, there's no big rush to get the things done that you once said were important to you.
A life coach will light a fire under your butt so that you can harness your greatest potential and live the life of your dreams. No more mediocre just getting by for you, honey bunny!
3) You can speak candidly with your life coach.
Oftentimes, in our lives, we don't really have people that we can speak freely with. If we talk to our friends, family, and/or co-workers about what's going on with us, they often do hear us and respond from the level they're currently at, not where we are. This can be detrimental and defeating.
A life coach provides a fundamental sounding board that allows you to explore your deepest needs in a safe space without judgment. You can speak openly with your life coach about where you are, what's working in your life and what's not.
4) Your life coach can provide you with invaluable strategies and techniques.
Once you've identified what's important to you and/or any change that you want to make in your life, you and your life coach will craft a customized plan of strategies and techniques that will help you achieve your goals and harness your potential.
5) Your life coach can help you identify blind spots.
Blind spots are just that -- spots that we can't see because we are so used to looking at the world and ourselves in a certain way. A life coach can help you identify self-limiting beliefs and help you reframe and change your mindset so that you live your best life in a way that is authentic to you.
